Signature Aviation Expands Blended Sustainable Aviation Fuel Offering at Six New Locations
Signature Aviation, the world’s largest private aviation terminal network, has announced a significant expansion of its blended sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) offering. The new initiative will extend SAF availability to six additional U.S. locations starting in January 2025, following a supply agreement with Valero Marketing and Supply Company, a subsidiary of Valero Energy Corporation.
This expansion will see blended SAF available at:
- Dallas Love Field (DAL)
- Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD)
- Miami International Airport (MIA)
- Opa Locka International Airport (OPF)
- Palm Beach International Airport (PBI)
- Teterboro Airport (TEB)
These locations are among some of the busiest private aviation terminals in the U.S., reinforcing Signature Aviation’s role as a leader in sustainable fuel offerings. With this expansion, the company now offers SAF at 23 total locations, including eight of the ten largest private aviation markets in the country. Signature also offers blended SAF at six international locations across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA).
Valero Supply Agreement
The new supply agreement with Valero will provide Signature with up to 58 million gallons of blended SAF for 2025. Each new location will offer a blend of 35% neat SAF and 65% conventional jet fuel. This SAF offering plays a crucial role in Signature’s sustainability goals as it helps reduce carbon emissions from the aviation sector.
Derek DeCross, Chief Commercial Officer at Signature Aviation, commented on the announcement, stating, “We are thrilled to expand our SAF offering to more key locations in the U.S. This expansion is a testament to Signature’s commitment to advancing sustainable aviation and our collaboration with Valero is essential in building a comprehensive SAF supply chain.”
Sustainability Initiatives and Achievements
This latest expansion is part of Signature’s broader sustainability strategy. The company has already surpassed 40 million gallons of blended SAF pumped, reinforcing its commitment to environmental leadership. Additionally, Signature Aviation was awarded the Green Power Leadership Award from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for its renewable electricity initiatives.
“By expanding our SAF offering, we’re building the most comprehensive SAF supply chain in aviation, responding directly to the needs of our guests and supporting industry-wide sustainability goals.” — Derek DeCross, Chief Commercial Officer, Signature Aviation
In 2024, Signature’s terminal at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) became only the second private aviation terminal globally, after its San Francisco International Airport (SFO) location, to offer a 100% supply of blended SAF. This accomplishment marks a significant step in achieving the company’s long-term sustainability goals and further establishes Signature as a leading force in the shift toward greener aviation practices.
